Congrats
Congratulations Paddy.. I gotta admit I wanted the Shark to win, but you did what you had to do and Im glad that you won it. Your shot on 17 with a 5 wood was absolutely perfect, and we might have to put you in as one of the best link players out there since now you have won back to back. I just wish Tiger was there so you two can be head on against each other again. Guess we will have to wait till next year, but nevertheless Congrats. For Norman, it sucks, this has been your career, leading into the final round and you choke.. I guess that sums up your career tho, amazing player but could never close it out. What is this like your 10th top 3 major finish now?

Get Farve
Id have to think who is the best movie villian ever, good question, Ill get back to you on that one.
In regards to Ronaldinho going to AC Milan? Who cares, its not like the italians will ever win a champions league tourney. Plus they are Italians.. fucking dirty as shit, all they are ever good for is cooking and horny women.
Yes there should be an asterisk on the Claret Jug, because if Tiger was playing right now he would be at -8 and everyone else like Phil would be sucking his dick trying to just get to even par. How do you shoot an 80 and say your the #2 player in the world. Then someone had the nerve to say that if you were a 4 handicap you would probably shoot a 100 here? How about suck it up and realize that maybe your just not good on links courses and then talk. I hope Rocco or Norman wins. The shark hasnt won for awhile, and he is rejuvenated. Do you know he is married to Chris Everett?
I had so much to write, but Ill get back to that.. gotta go for now, but drink a real man's drink.. Scotch or Whiskey... Beer.. ha.. get this the island has Guiness Import which is like 7.5% alcohol and no where as good as the true Guiness. I guess Im going to have to go to Europe for real beer.
And whats worse than a lesbian thats a dyke? How about a lesbian thats a dyke who is flirting w/ a bi who looks like a man... YES, I love my school.
Goodnight Canada

Tampering?
So they say that the Vikings might be in trouble for tampering in regards to Brett Favre. Let's put it this way, Favre is your best chance of winning a super bowl and i'm not surprised that y'all tried. Not to mention, this is the icon of your division rivals and was the orchastrator of many losses for y'all. So try you best, get Brett, and maybe, just maybe, you'll have a QB who is a passing threat.
I also forgot to include Caddyshack in my 80's list of movies.
So... what do you think about Ronaldinho going to AC Milan?
Leave Kenny Perry alone... when you're a bitch, you know you're a bitch, so just be content with the fact that he knows his role and that he's not like all those other players out there who say that the field is not devalued even though Tiger isn't there and that more people have a chance to win now. I just don't get that... just cause Tiger isn't playing means that what? The top players are going to play down to the shitty players or the shitty players miraculously will play up to the top players? I just don't get it... Not like it matters whether or not Tiger is there, the top players have been playing shitty anyways.
I cannot believe that the Ravens were not able to reach an agreement with Suggs. I mean, seriously? Right now, he's the guy that you are going to have to look to for the next few years on that defense. It may be Ray Ray's right now, but he's getting old, still sick as shit, but he's getting old. Suggs is your future, and he's one of the most dominate players at that position. If Suggs leaves your team, just like Adalius Thomas did... then it fucking serves you right, ya fucking nubs. Learn how to be a GM please?!
For those who care, -7 at the Charity Golf Tourny. I hit a few good tee shots, we used about 4-5 of mine, and I hit some incredible approach shots, 3 of them within 3 ft. But thank goodness for my teammates to handle the rest of the slack, I definitely started to get worse as I drank more... haha. Go figure... and for your information... I drink beer and tequila... like a real man.
And here's to all you Indians out there... and I mean the ones with feathers... not dots... stop your sissy bitching about the Redskins name. It is not being used in a derrogatory way. You should be proud that they are willing to use your culture to represent such a pristegous organization. You don't see cowboys or vikings trying to sue the teams... fucking jackasses...
Oh and viva la Rocco Mediate.... leading the Open Championship with -1 right now.

It will be an interesting fall...
Classic furry behavior my ass... just simple advice for the novice drinkers out there, JTP, stick with your girlie shots, aight? haha...
So as I am writing this, listening to Nas' new cd, I will have to say, its not bad, the tracks are mostly politically active though, but catchy nevertheless. What do you think about Kenny Perry saying no to the invite to play in the British Open? His excuse? He never wanted to be a big time star, just trying to focus on making the Ryder cup team? Pretty noble of him, considering he knows he has no chance of winning the Open. Golf just isnt the same though with Tiger.. it really does suck doesnt it? Tiger should open up his "World tour" Fuck the PGA.. PGA needs Tiger, Tiger doesnt need the PGA.
The Packers wont release Farve, too bad, it would be interesting to see him play for another team and try and take that team far into the playoffs. Now that football season is coming up, who do you think is the top 5 fantasy players? How about position... Ill start off w/ Rb's...
- Adrian
- LT
- Portis
- Willie Parker
- Stephen Jackson
Qb's:
- Brady
- Manning
- Brees
- Romo
- Palmer
WR's:
- Owens
- Moss
- Fitzgerald
- Andre Johnson
- Reggie Wayne
TE:
- Gates
- Winslow
- Cooley
- Heap
- Witten or Gonzalez

Classic... fucking classic...
Mmmmm, classic Furry behavior... You're stupid... and life goes on....
I need to take this moment here to correct a GRAVE mistake I made when I compiled my list of great 80's movies.... I left out:
Coming to America
This is a classic and I can't believe that I left this movie out of my list... a fucking classic I tell you.
Here are some things that have I've been meaning to say, and there's a lot, so they're going to be quick and sweet, for the most part.
Congrats to Spain for winning Euro 2008. (and beating Zee Germans! ZEEEE GERMANS!)
Congrats to Nadal for beating Federer.
Congrats to Anthony Kim for the win at AT&T National at Congressional.
Congrats to Forrest Griffin for beating Rampage.
RIP Evel Knievel... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=3135532

Who cares?
Ill read your post in a lil JTP but for now lets talk about the useless draft. Im a fan of the NBA to the average but honestly who cares about this draft. Let me tell you this, out of all the players that were drafted only 2 will make an immediate impact next season for the NBA. Rose and Beasley, thats it. Every other 19-20 year old that was drafted will at least take a couple of years to develop, so therefore who the hell cares? How can I be excited? For example, the Wizards got a grade C from Chad Ford, why? Javale McGee is a 7 footer that needs time to develop. Good job Wiz, you did nothing to improve your team for this upcoming year. While O'Neal went to the Raptors you did except prove to the fans that once again Lebron owns you and you will lose to them in the first round again. Is this deja vu or what? Oh yay!; get excited about the big 3 coming back all healthy. No, I dont think so, Ive waited my 3 years to see if they can do anything, they cant. Arenas is not a point guard, and we have no point guard. I would rather have you trade Arenas and get some value for him then to see if maybe he will be good again with this bum knee... Washington once again disappoints.
Chicago, kudos to you, Rose was a great pick, Beasley will be fine in Miami, everyone else your too damn young to be in the NBA. I dont care if your potential is high, your nothing for me right now. OJ Mayo.. earn the starting spot. Kevin Love, yea.. your 13%body fat will take you reallll far.. Joe Alexander.. great talent, but your behind Richard Jefferson now.. yippee I get to see a great talent on the bench. I mean come on people what can I look forward to? Greg Oden? They wont even let you step foot on a basketball court cus you might snap like a twig once again. And stupid NY, the fans are idiots. The Italian is a great fit with your new coach, yes he might take a few years to develop but thats a smart pick. Maybe the only smart pick, so NY shut the hell up and enjoy the Giants superbowl win, you shouldnt be complaining at least for another 5-10 years or until NY loses to Boston again in the ALCS.... Thanks for nothing, NBA, Im proud to be a fan.

In Fucking Bruges...
Thanks for the recommendation Furry, it was a great movie. I have to say this, Half Baked may be a classic, but Grandma's Boy is gonna be the classic for our generation. Just as Cheech and Chong have been replaced by Harold and Kumar, so has Half Baked been replaced by Grandma's Boy. Grandma's Boy hits a lot of the stereotypes and fads of our generation. So regardless of how much of a classic Half Baked is, it's still not as good as Grandma's Boy. I'm also looking forward to pineapple express... i'm willing to give 10:1 odds that after that movie comes out, people are going to be selling some variation of a "pineapple" strand... just like acapulco gold... haha.
New Kids on the Block?!?! Seriously?!? I thought they'd be in some alley somewhere giving blowjobs for crack... As for Shaq... well I've always been a little bit of a fan of his, but recently, he's just too much. I'm starting to see how fucking retarded Shaq is, I think it's a side effect of how big he is... not enough oxygen getting to the brain or something... he's definitely some kind of retarded.
Now on to some actual sports... I feel like I need to state this disclaimer, I no longer fucking care about the NBA... it has risen to a new height of trashiness. The NBA is an organization that no longer has any credibility, and to be honest, I just don't find it exciting anymore. So I'm kinda glad we got these two new homies, cause they can pick up for my slack of basketball interest.
Anyone been watching Euro 2008? Man, I must say, I am very impressed with how Turkey played. To be 100% honest, Turkey deserved the win yesterday. Throughout the whole game, Turkey was pressing forward, dominated possession, and basically controlled the game. They even hit the crossbar twice in the first half before scoring the first point. It's just a little disappointing, because after seeing how they played, I feel like if they had 2-3 of the many players that were injured or out on suspension, they could have won that game. The last goal was as a result of the defense getting tired after playing a full game of great defense. I tip my hat to you Turkey, and hope that you can make just as good of a showing in the next international tourny. Today is Spain vs. Russia, Spain is the favorite to win, and it'll probably be a more interesting final if it's between Spain and Germany, but Russia might have gotten some inspiration after watching Turkey play. Anything can happen.
SOON I will start spewing football crap... but I just want to say... I AM SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR THE NEW FOOTBALL SEASON. I'm already drooling... And here's my savy pick, Raiders to the playoffs!
As for golf... I know you probably don't want to watch it any more now that Tiger's out, but what if Rocko Mediate starts to win every tourny? I think that'd be interesting, having Rocko win the Buick and what not... it'd be hilarious.
I tip my hat to the Fresno Bulldogs, great job winning the college world series... going from unranked to champion, this is a cinderella story.
Get Smart is better than MacGyver...
Slap Bracelets were awesome...
Harry: Well, really, the way I see it it's all your fucking fault now isn't it? You try to rob someone with blanks in your gun and he gets the jump on you, takes your gun away and shoots the blanks in your face blinding you, so he had to get pretty close to do that. It's your own fault for being such a big gay fairy now isn't it?
Eirik: I thought you wanted to kill him.
Harry: I do. But that still doesn't mitigate the fact that you’re a fucking pansy, now, does it?
Haha!
There's a Christmas tree somewhere in London with a bunch of presents underneath it that'll never be opened. And I thought, if I survive all of this, I'd go to that house, apologize to the mother there, and accept whatever punishment she chose for me. Prison...death...didn't matter. Because at least in prison and at least in death, you know, I wouldn't be in fuckin' Bruges. But then, like a flash, it came to me. And I realized, fuck man, maybe that's what hell is: the entire rest of eternity spent in fuckin' Bruges. And I really really hoped I wouldn't die. I really really hoped I wouldn't die.

New Kid on the Blog
Speaking of 80's hits, how bout the New Kid's comeback. Their re-debut song "summertime" is commuter radio jammin-worthy. I can see this song calming my morning fury, as I sit in bumper to bumper I-270 traffic, eating away at my $60 tank of gas.
It's a decent song, but maybe I'm just too old. HAving grown up with the New Kids and living through the 90's boyband craze, to me something just doesn't sound right with this song now. It would be like me rockin those slap bracelets again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25qiZy7vmqY
Seeing old men rounding their 40s, dance around and sing about hollarin at girls disturbs me a bit. I figure by at least 30 you learn to ask a girl for her number in proper English. This is like the creepy old man version of N'sync.
Well my senile butt likes being the new kid on this blog and is happy to mix it up with you guys. Thanks for the invite. To show my appreciation I wrote a song
"You know how I be,
how could this blog do without me?"
How stupid is Shaq? I was never a Kobe fan because I always thought he was way over-confident, but Shaq's idiocy seems to prevail. Kobe already got what he deserved in his shameful finals performance.
His rhymes go from funny to an angry ego-centric rant that includes vasectomys and paying off rape victims.

He is not a rapper so unless your going to spit smart lyrics then don't start shooting off trash talk in a rap song. That's like Lil Wayne trying to dunk on Dwight Howard. It's just doesn't sound right.

Hes as virgin as an asian womens blinker...
Did you just say Get Smart is comparable to MacGyver... woah there soldier, those are bold words. MacGyver could be the greatest 80s show there is... and on that note.. top 80s tv shows are, in no particular order.
1. MacGyver
2. A-Team
3. Knight Rider
And I would have to say Half Baked over Grandmas Boy, just because Half Baked is a classic. Chapelle needs to get back into the industry. What Im looking forward to is Pineapple Express
Oh and news just in.. Bernard Berrian likes Tarvaris.. haha.. we will see how much that holds up but I can tell you this. Signing Williams to safety to go along with Darren Sharper might be a good pay off, but we wont know until season begins. On that note.. im pretty damn excited about football. And Ill leave you with this from the infamous Adam "I dont want to be called Pacman" Jones... "Imus, Ill pray for you.."

Newb
We have a nooby joining our ranks. Just wanted to give him a shout out while he's still figuring out a good alias. I also picked Biel, but I feel Biel is more of the wifey type. Alba has that sexy-stripper-naughty look/side to her which is real hot, but Biel has an amazing body and seems less slutty. Honestly, I wouldn't even care which one, I just want that choice... damn.
That being said, Furry, that's such a great question. I had a hard time, and here's my disclaimer, the top movies are based on my preference. I have also listed a few other movies from that decade in various categories which are must see movies. This was a great time for movies and there were tons of quality actors during that period.
Top movies from the 80's (Not in any order):
Transformers
Scarface
Platoon
Full Metal Jacket
Amazing Movies:
Bachelor Party
Rain Man
Once Upon a Time in America
Glory
The Untouchables
Phenomenal Franchise Movies:
Star Wars V & VI
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Aliens
Terminator
Die Hard
Back to the Future
Lethal Weapon
American Classic Movies:
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
A Christmas Story
ET
Blues Brothers
The Princess Bride
What do you think? Hulk was good, I still can't say which I like better, Hulk or Ironman, even though Ironman does kinda cheat by having a supercomputer that can basically build a freaking amazing suit. But Stark is smart... so it's not all the computer, which makes him kinda a superhero. Get Smart was better than both. Get Smart to me is what MacGyver is to you. Word.

House
Been watching House lately.. not a bad show. Jessica Alba or Jessica Biel.. come on... Alba is more of a wifey type all cute and innocent.. Biel... her body is ridiculous and honestly I would probably pick Biel just because I think she would be a better fuck.. Nothing against Alba. What about Danneel Harris? She's hot.. Finally saw the Hulk.. great ending when Stark came.
Anyways.. I hope Turkey does beat Germany, you know what I might even bet on that game.. haha, no there is no hope, but hey you never know. Fresno St is in the CWS final against Georgia, so anything is possible. And in regards to Tiger, I think he is getting smarter, and Ill say this, he will come back and win a open by 8 strokes at least! How about that prediction. Yes 15 strokes is insane, whats up w/ the tourney? Only 35 people coming? Thats sad
You hear Shaq freestyling on Kobe.. "You know how I be," Shaq rapped. "Last week Kobe couldn't do without me." Funny guy.. aight here is a question... top 3 80's movies of all time?

So Much for Holland...
Yea... Russia, Germany, Spain, and Turkey? I mean I hear that Russia might have a chance to win against Spain... but Turkey? They have no hope. They have 6+ players out for that game due to injuries and suspensions. NO HOPE. So it looks like it might be Germany vs. Spain, unless Russia can play good futball and not fall into Spain's pace.
I understand he did it on 1 leg, that's why it's amazing, but to beat a whole field by 15 strokes is near impossible. You just need to look at the numbers, there's so many other players, with so many varying styles, that the conditions for that weekend will most likely suit a few other players as well and they usually shoot close to what Tiger shoots. Now let me ask you this, what if as a result of persevering to win the Open, he hurts himself so much that his career is either shortened or never returns to the level it was before. Then would you call it his greatest win? The win that inevitably caused his ruin?
I mean the Lakers did beat the Spurs... And the Spurs aren't a soft team. Bynum coming back will help their inside game tremendously, as he plays bigger than Gasol does, he's just real lanky and not very smooth. But yea, Kobe, he still needs to do more maturing before he can hope to be mentioned in the same breath as MJ. MJ always did exactly what his team needed. If that meant driving in and kicking it out, popping mid range jumpers all day, or just taking it all on his shoulders, MJ not only did it, but knew what was needed and when. Sorry Kobe, right now you've been demoted to Turtle rank in the entourage hierarchy.
And to my partner in crime, I go to the range 2 times a week. Answer this question:
Jessica Alba vs. Jessica Biel?

Eventful weekend
The reason why this was Tigers greatest win was because he had one leg and still persevered and took the title. Rocco is now 48th in the world thanks... haha.. I mean yes, winning by 15 strokes is crazy, and you know I really wouldnt put it past him that he will do this again. Did you listen to his convo? "It will be nice to finally be healthy since I havent for maybe the past decade." Watch out golf world, I really do expect and look forward to Tiger demolishing the field next year. Thats all I look forward to in golf.
Kobe has a young team around him but he wont win a championship even when Bynum comes back. The lakers are soft and until they finally play some defense and start abusing their opponents they have no chance. Kobe barely went inside in the series, relied on outside shots and couldnt do jack shit.
Portugal was a disappointment, but so was the "where was the foul" goal that Ballack made. Such dismay I tell you. Turkey over Croatia? Who picked that one.. I must say go Holland.. Holland all the way!
Im going to the driving range tomorrow sucka!

Amazing... but Legendary?
So here's the thing, I'm a huge Tiger fan, and I will definitely admit that Tiger's win at the US Open was amazing... but here's where I run into a wall... why is this win Tiger's greatest win? Why not when he crushed the field by being 15 strokes ahead of 2nd place? This performance of his, definitely solidifies the fact that he is the best player is golf... plain and simple... but to say it's Tiger's best win... I think is a little bit of a stretch, especially if you include the fact that he had to beat Rocko to do it. Nothing against Rocko, he played great golf and made a great run, but the fact still remains that Rocko is ranked a hundred something... Tiger was expected to win, I feel like even Rocko didn't believe that he had a chance, which might have led to Rocko psyching himself out...
With all that being said, that was a fucking amazing performance by Tiger... did anyone see that bunker shot during the playoff round? He dropped it within 10 feet and it was like 200 yards from bunker to green... NASTY!!
It's inevitable that Kobe will be mentioned and compared to Jordan. He's the only player in the game that is as consistent, not at the same level as Jordan, but definitely consistent. Not only that, but he's also the few players whose play style is similar to Jordan. Don't forget, Kobe has a young team around him, and even though he is considered to be a veteran he's still pretty young, so I still feel he has a lot of time to try to take the title as the heir to the Jordan throne.
Now... for those of y'all who are uneducated... soccer is a huge sport... not in the US but everywhere else in the world... so this is for those who care... HOW THE HELL IS PORTUGAL LOSE TO GERMANY... I mean seriously... I thought Portugal was gonna win... such a disappointment. Now i don't even know who I want to win. Maybe Croatia? Oh well, enjoy the weekend.
NBA draft is coming up... but seriously... who cares about the NBA and basketball any more...

It has to be spoken about...
Sorry I took so long to respond Stephen, but we are back... Ill reply to your football rankings in a lil, but I think it is necessary to talk about Tiger presently and in the future. What a great weekend of golf? Honestly, probably the best US OPEN I have ever seen, and I might have to rank it as the #1 event in Tiger's career. Only because of the truth we now know about his knee. You said 1.5 legs.... how about 1 leg? I was watching the golf channel and they were bitching about how Tiger shouldnt hide his injury from us because its going to undermine his victory. Fuck that.. I love Pat Forde's piece in that regard, "Clearly, there are no excuses in TigerLand. If there were, he would have told us up front how significant the injury was. Now that we know, all the idiots who said Woods was being a drama queen with all the wincing and limping are politely advised to shut up. " There are no surmountable words for me to express and describe about Tiger's victory or what he did. He beat 156 players on a torn ACL and 2 stress fractures in his left leg. Are you kidding me? Let me repeat that, torn ACL and 2 stress fractures in his tibia. How about this, an average golf course is around 4-6 miles a round of 18 walking. Torrey Pines was the longest in US OPEN history at about what 7200 something yards, so that means Tiger walked around 20 miles since it took him 5 days to win. 20 miles on one leg... we bitch about walking one round of golf... we shouldnt bitch about walking anymore. Honestly, what can you say about this? I cant stop reading about Tiger and his accomplishments because he is the best athlete there is right now. Everybody that says that golf isnt a sport is a fucking tool. Do what Tiger did, try to play on one leg and see if you can even have the balls to twist your knee the way he did. I wish Tiger a speedy recovery because golf and sports need it. I wont watch golf anymore this year, there is no need to. Because its just not fun and its just not worth it. Why? Its just not the same. I will say one thing though, there should be no bitching from Garcia, Phil, or Ernie. If you all cant win the next 2 majors, one of you at least.. your pathetic.
Tiger now has 14 majors... He will be back in full health, assuming everything goes according to plan, better than ever. Should we even speculate Grandslam? I was watching PTI today and what if Tiger won the Masters... that would be 2 this year.. would he still have this surgery? Would he tell the public? What about Goosen's comments? Such a hater. People are speculating that Tiger might not be able to come back from this and pass Jack... oh he will pass Jack, dont you worry.. one leg or not.
And for all of you that thought Kobe was ever in the same breath as Jordan should just shoot yourself while you have the chance. How ugly was that series? Kobe.. your a disgrace. Jordan never lost a championship and you will never be in the same sentence ever again.. Good riddance

Fate
Tiger Woods in an 18 hole playoff for the US Open? Fate... It's a wonder that he's done as well as he's done on 1.5 legs, and that come behind birdie was crazy. Whoever says that golf is not interesting or exciting, does not appreciate it's complexity and probably has not seriously picked up a club before. Even though it looks easy, shooting anything under a 15 over par is super hard. And if you don't believe me, do this, go golfing with a buddy, and bet on the round, and i don't mean some pussy bet of $10 or $20. I mean make it a fucking $150. Do something where you are trying on every shot and you'll see how tense of a game it is. You want to win $150? Well maybe now two-putting or three-putting isn't going to be good enough for you... Turn up the stakes and then tell me it's not a fun game. Go Tiger!

Return of the Prodigal Blogger...
Aaaaaaaaand I'm back! Sorry about being MIA. I've been pretty busy getting a new job, and dealing with jealous-hating-back-stabbing-cock-sucking-bitches. And now that I'm back, there have been a few things on my mind that I've wanted to comment on and have not been able to, and it's been building up for quite some time...
For starters... Furry, i don't agree with your assessment of the AFC vs NFC. If you noticed, I said that the AFC had elite teams, very few average teams, and many easy-bullshit teams. With that laid out... let's redo your assessment and count quality/competitive teams. I am going to judge them off their quality of talent, past record, and any potential I can think of...
E=Elite
Q=Quality
S=Suspect
T=Trash
AFC vs NFC North
Steelers (Q) - This is a powerhouse franchise, that much I admit, however, their team has been raided since winning the Superbowl. Their wrs are getting old, they have suffered great losses regarding their o-line and their defense is on the decline. This team just makes it into the elite category... atleast until the start of next season... then I need to see proof that they still are who they say they are.
Ravens (T) - Don't get me wrong, I love this team. I love the way the defense plays, and i love the characters on the team. However, this offense is completely and utterly inept. McNair should stop playing and retire. He is too slow to make decisions, let alone try to move in or out of the pocket. The game has passed him by... he was a great QB and maybe might make the hall of fame some day (definitely not a first ballot inductee...) but every man should know when his best is just not enough anymore, and it's sad to say, let alone realize, but McNair, such is your situation. And it's not just the QB position that is aging or sucks... the offensive line and defense is getting old. You have 2 corners who were once the top CBs in the league, and even now, though they might have lost a 1/2 step, they are still one of the top 5 CB tandems if they are healthy. Their LB is solid only because you have a monster named Rayray on your team, which makes everyone around him play harder and better. I'm glad they kept Suggs, cause if they let him go after losing Adalius last year, they couldn't afford to lose Suggs also. This team is a team that has aging talent that can still play, but is not getting enough help and support from the younger players. This is a "rebuilding" team, even though it does have a chance to make a playoff run if they can pick up 1-2 quality guys in their positions of needs (QB and WR).
Bengals (T) - This team showed promise for a few years recently, however, shit has started to hit the fan... OchoCinco wants out, Rudi is not that great, the defense is soft, and players there cannot stay the fuck out of trouble. This team has the possibility of becoming our generation's Raiders...
Browns (S) - Had a great season last year... however, they need to show that it wasn't a fluke. This team is right on the cusp of becoming an elite team, as long as they can keep playing at the level that they have been.
vs.
Vikings (Q almost E) - This team has a TON of potential... all they need is a QB that can control the game. The only other major concern other than QB is a WR that the QB can throw to... even with the weakness at QB they still made a playoff run and are a dangerous team.
Bears (T) - This team HAD a chance to win the superbowl, and ever since, they have spiraled into crap. They got Archuleta... great call... Urlacher can't stay healthy, the offense is horrible, they have no QB, RB, or WR... This team is not going to get good any time soon...
Packers (Q borderline S) - The cheeseheads have lost one of the greatest players to wear the uniform. This team is tricky... and i say that because it definitely has a lot of talent on the team, however, it was the fact that they have Favre, that converted the talent into game ability. I'm interested in seeing how Aaron Rodgers will do, but he will never be able to, nor should he be expected to, fill Favre's shoes.
Lions (S) - Every year, I have high hopes for this team. They have drafted some of the best WRs... and yet... they still suck and can't score. Calvin Johnson... show me why you were drafted so high... Lions, show me that you can run the ball post-Barry-Sanders...
AFC (1) vs. NFC (2)
AFC East vs NFC East:
Patriots (E) - I am not a fan of this team... however I can't deny the ability and the skills, not to mention their records and achievements. Whether or not those things can be or are attributed to their cheating... who knows?!? (It is my opinion that the cheating is atleast partially responsible.) This is an elite team, with elite players... however, we'll see how they do this year... a team with no run game, a weaker WRing core than last year, and a loss of a huge presence in the defensive backfield will hurt some.
Bills (S) - The Bills have shown improvement, but not enough for people to take them seriously as a playoff team. They need to settle down in a QB, bring in another good WR to line up opposite Lee Evans, and their defense has to step back up. Lynch is the one bright spot they have right now...
Dophins (T) - I don't think this needs much explaining... they almost had NO WINS... and need help in every area.. EXCEPT for RB cause they have Ricky as a back up... holla for all the 4:20 heads out there. But yea... trash team... and oh, by the way, how the fuck do you get rid of zach "tackle-monster" thomas? Jackasses...
Jets (S) - This team has made some BRILLIANT moves in the off-season via free agency. But this team has had a pretty solid talent base in recent years, so just because they got some elite players does not mean it will translate to wins. Man-gina sucks... so until they show me something, this team is suspect... so is Coles... why did they give him a contract extension?
vs.
Giants (E) - Here is a hard team to categorize. Normally... I would say that this is a semi-quality team that has a lot of talent... However, since they did what no other team could do this season, beat the patriots, AND they won the Superbowl, I feel that by default they are an elite team... they are the Champs and there is no evidence or argument that you could make that would say otherwise. Since they've become Superbowl champs, their team has not gotten any better and they have lost or could lose central pieces and leadership... pray that strahan comes back (which i think he will cause he's still poor from the divorce and probably just wants to skip training camp.) The thing is... Eli has arrived... atleast for now... they have an overrated TE and their defense is going to be a shell of what it was last year if Osi holds out and Strahan retires... But Kudos for taking out the Pats.
Cowboys (Q) - In all honesty, this team should be an elite team. It has the leadership, talent, history, and pro-bowl caliber players at almost every position... why are they just a quality team you ask? CAUSE THEY ARE THE MOTHERFUCKING COWBOYS AND I FUCKING HATE THE COWBOYS. I can admit and appreciate their level of skill, but I refuse to call them an elite team... FUCK YOU COWBOYS!
Eagles (Q) - Here I gave the Eagles the benefit of the doubt. They've been getting worse the last few years, but they still have tons of talent, albeit no WR to speak of... but tons of talent. Westbrook, definitely underrated.. and now they have Asante in their DB core... it'll be a sick defense... and who knows? Maybe Takeo Spikes will step back into pro-bowl form this year... philly fans can only hope.
Redskins (Q) - This is my team right here. And I'm going to be as honest as I can be... First I want to take a moment of silence for Sean Taylor. He was a possible hall of famer and could have been the best DB the skins have had since Darrell Green, and he is my freaking hero. I believe the skins have a pretty solid core of players, a few being pretty young. I like Landry, Campbell, Portis, Cooley, and Rocky. I feel that these guys are the future of our franchise and for some, we haven't even scratched their potential. I'm watching Rogers and Washington, both have disappointed me, rogers... with just not living up to the hype and Washington has not been as dominant as he has been in the past and has been injured. I hope these guys can bounce back this year. Overrated players on the team include Springs, Jansen, and the Defensive line not including Carter. These are some glaring weaknesses, as well as not having a large receiver for Campbell...which is a huuuuge need. If you look at Campbell's missed passes, most of them are too high... for our 5'8 WRs... but one large WR from the draft could be the missing piece of the puzzle. I also hope that the new defensive coordinator can continue to shut teams down. I personally loved Gregg Williams, the only problem i had was he'd pick some horrible schemes and calls for certain situations... for example, I understand that you don't want to give the other team big plays, but playing a deep drop zone for dbs, you give them the chance to keep throwing under and gaining yards... I'm an aggressive play-caller, if you know it's 3rd and long, throw a blitz at them... not drop your crappy-covering LBs back to cover #4 or #5 receivers 10 yards past the line of scrimmage giving the receivers all the power to get open and yards..? So I sure hope that the new coach can keep pressure up, no matter what part of the game it is. A few more pieces and this team is ELITE.
AFC (1) vs. NFC (4)
AFC South vs NFC South
Colts (E) - This may be one of the easier teams to rate. This team has one of the best if not the best head coach in the league. They have a phenom QB and WR as well as a pass rusher and wicked good safety. This team is always in the playoff hunt, and almost always a favorite to win it all. Keep Dungy as long as possible, because he's the glue that holds that franchise together.
Jags (Q) - This team has really proven itself to me over the recent years. They have a stout defense, and a great running tandem. The QB position has been hard for them, playing 3 different QBs over the last 3 years. But now, they have a decent starting QB that will be able to make smart decisions, and possibly challenge the Colts... POSSIBLY...
Titans (S) - I think Vince Young is overrated... The titans are almost a good team... their defense is tough... usually, and their offensive does just enough to win... or lose the game. Their running game is not what it was when they had Travis Henry, which proves my argument that i had the other day, Vince Young only did decently well because of the affect that Travis Henry had.
Texans (S) - This is probably THE weakest team in this division. It's going to be a hard time climbing out of this basement as this division is only getting better... kinda like how the Cardinals are the ass end of the NFC west.
vs.
Tampa (Q) - I really don't know what to say about this team. Every year I write this team off, and every year it is either in the playoff hunt or it makes the playoffs. Garcia is a great QB. I know people will disagree, but you just have to look at his last 2-3 years and you can see how dependable and consistent he is. He doesn't make very many bad mistakes and controls each game well. I tip my hat off to the coach and his staff.
Saints (S) - This team is a greatly improved team from 2 years ago. Here's where they earn their grade though, they couldn't do it two years in a row, even though they had arguable a better team than they had when they made the playoff run. They have an elite QB in my opinion and have a very dangerous tandem at running back. Their defense has some holes, but they aren't a bad team, they just need a little bit more leadership and consistency and they could possible be the kings of this division for years to come.
Carolina (S) - WHAT THE FUCK HAS HAPPENED TO YOU?!?! This team was a hot team not to long ago. You still have a serviceable QB and you have an elite WR in Smith. People don't know this, but DeAngelo Williams is a good RB and I believe is going to have a break out year. he's been sharing the load with Foster... but DeAngelo can definitely be their work horse. The defense however has basically disappeared. Their defense, that was one feared is no more. You had such a sick front 4 and some amazing LBs... and now look what has happened, most of them are either gone or suck. This team really needs to step up this year, keep the QB protected and healthy and there's a good chance they could also make a run at the division title.
Atlanta (T) - I feel like this speaks for itself. Atlanta will probably be the joke of the league for a few years to come. Not only did they lose their QB who was basically all of their offensive production, but they also lost their lockdown CB... This team is in uber rebuilding mode.
AFC (2) vs. NFC (1)
NFC West vs. AFC West
Cardinals (S) - This team has all kinds of offensive talent, but their defense just hasn't been up to par. Now they have a decent defense, but have no RB. The WRs on this team are probably the best tandem and the QB should be at the very least, serviceable. But no matter how good this team looks, it struggles in a weak division, and never takes advantage of that fact. They need to get some heart and maybe they'll be a quality team, they are heading in the right direction though.
Seahawks (S) - Most people would not agree with my evaluation of this team, but let me say this... just cause you're the best of a group of scrubs, does that make you a quality team? No. This team year in and year out has one of the easiest fucking paths to the playoffs, cause they never play anyone good. And yea, I'm fucking bitter that these bitches have knocked my team out of the playoffs for a couple of years now, but the point is, that they get there so easily that rarely are their players tired or hurt. And until they show me that they can beat good teams over and over, I will not recognize a bullshit playoff team.
49ers (S) - I love the 49ers franchise. i had some pretty high expectations for this past year, but they disappointed. Even though they have some good players, they also have some old ones and ones that are subpar... I feel bad that they have Walt Harris on their team. People want to argue that he's a good CB but his stats are inflated... 50% of his ints were in 1 freaking game... that's not a good stat. This team needs to work on their defense and their o-line, but they definitely have the potential to atleast make a run for the division title.
Rams (S) - Also a team that has too many aging players at important positions. Steven Jackson is a great RB but still, the WRs are aging, the QB is starting to decline, and the o-line keeps getting hurt. The bright side is that their defense is young and at times plays very well. But they still need to replace some key positions, and until that time, won't really be able to do much.
vs.
Chargers (E) - This team is maybe the best team in the league. They have so much talent, and lots of young talent. The CB really stepped up and showed everyone that he was worth the high pick. This team just has to avoid injuries and avoid blowing their load early in the season and falling off when playoffs roll around. But definitely a Superbowl contender and perennial playoff team with this core.
Broncos (S) - What has happened to this franchise. It has had a very bad fall from where they were 3 years ago. They might not have been great, but they weren't in the bottom 25% of the league, as they are now. They need to get some younger players in the front 7 and be aggressive like they use to. To do this, upgrade your WRs and maybe get a new QB. Cutler isn't as good as advertised... why they fucked over Plummer like they did, I have no idea... They use to say that Elway couldn't win anything either... and yet he played there forever and it wasn't until he was almost dead that they finally won a superbowl... just saying...
Raiders (S) - This team is like a semi-savy pick for me. I think this team has a lot of talent, and if managed the correct way, could definitely make a run for the playoffs... if they somehow get there, they'll probably lose in the first round, but they have an outside shot. We'll see...
KC (T) - This team is also in rebuilding mode, they need to get Larry Johnson to start producing like he is suppose to. He hasn't been a disappointment, but seriously, they are way too old and need some more playmakers. Bowe had a great year for them... but they still need to upgrade their WR corp.
NFC (0) vs. AFC (1)
Total:
AFC (5)
NFC (7)
P.S. This was all done pre-draft.

It was a buzz kill for the Hornets, losing last night to the Spurs. I honestly was hoping that CP3 would be able to get his team to the Western Conference Finals, I wanted Kobe vs CP3 to determine who the true MVP is. Unfortunately we will not be able to see that, and will have to entertain these 2 teams. The Hornets gave it a good shot though and I think they would have won if it wasnt for their lackluster 3rd quarter effort. Down by 15 in the 4th, is just way too much to overcome and beat the defending champs. Anyways, I think the Lakers vs Spurs series will be good and I would like to see the Spurs win it, only because Kobe is selfish.. if he doesnt win this time around, he cant complain, he has all the pieces he needs.
Celtics vs Pistons will also be a good series although I see the Pistons winning game 1 tonight. Celtics might end up prevailing at the end, but Pistons are too good of a team when they actually want to play. We will see what happens, but it comes down to Rasheed having a good series, no one on the Celtics can guard him or Prince.
I need some humor in my life.. feel free to post

Tragedy...
I will start writing since my partner in crime is being useless... anyhow I have to start out with the shameful Hoyas. I cannot believe that you beat yourself in the Davidson game. First off, Coach Thompson, what the hell are you thinking? You got outscored 47-32 in the second half. Your only job in the whole game is to stop Curry. He scored 25 in the 2nd half, you should be fired. Your a disgrace to the Thompson name. Maybe Im a little bitter because I would have won a lot of money on your sorry ass if you won, but maybe Im just a little distraught by the fact that you let a no name school come back and kick your ass in the 2nd half to ruin any legitimate chances you had at the title. Your must be kidding me. I dont care if Hibbert was in foul trouble, you were up by 16 with 15 min to play and you lost by 4. Something doesnt add up there. You cannot tell me that Davidson is bigger and better than you. You cant even make up the fact that they are more talented than you. The point is you got out coached. I have to say that this loss is worse than Duke getting beat by West Virginia. We all know Duke blows when they cannot shoot the 3. Well WV proved that. Im not surprised by Duke, I am surprised by Georgetown. I literally am speechless by the fact that Davidson is playing Wisconsin, when the Hoyas should be. You know whats funny however, we will see how good Davidson really is because maybe Wisconsin will show up to play and put any doubt on any cinderella hopes. Davidson.... are u fucking kidding me? Dont get me wrong, Curry is a great player and he has shown it. He will once again score his 30 and maybe Davidson really is the cindarella team of 2008. Im astonished that the Hoyas lost, I really am and they have absolutely no excuse. This is bigger than an upset, this is robbery. But congratulations Davidson, I hope you do go far and I hope you do beat Wisconsin. I for one will be rooting for you. I dont know, maybe Georgetown should look at all the other teams that were suppose to win and did... hmm... guess Hoyas you have alot of rebuilding to do. Your a disgrace...
Tiger, I really dont know what to say to you either. You have had a bad weekend, but find out what is wrong with your putter and fix it. You cannot tell me that you are mis reading the greens, or just didnt have it in you. Every other player was under par on Saturday and you failed to even break par. Maybe it was just your weekend to lose, I dont know, but if anything get your act together for the Masters in 3 weeks and you better blow away your competition. There should never be any doubt in who should win and there should never be any close competition. Tiger, figure out whats wrong, talk to Hank, and play like the Tiger we all expect. Its ok to be human every once in awhile... we saw it this weekend... now tweak your game and perfect it. I have no doubt you will.
Well Dirk got hurt... Can Dallas actually survive without him in the Western Conference? Time will tell, but the playoffs arent the playoffs without the Cuban Mavs... So get better Dirk, just so America can watch you lose in the 2nd round to whomever your playing.

Start of a new day...
What an exciting upcoming week of sports. Thursday is the start of the CA championship in which Tiger will go for his 6th straight PGA tour victory. I read Ron Sirak's article on Tiger today and have concluded, that you Mr. Sirak are the best golf writer for ESPN. Here is the article for those who wish to read it; http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/columns/story?columnist=sirak_ron&id=3301797 In any case, I hope Tiger does crush the field this week so all the hype will be on the Masters, which it will be anyway, in 3 weeks. But if Tiger does lose this week, which he wont, will he then lose the Masters? Will his streak end like the Rockets streak ended last night in a slaughtering blow out. 22 wins straight, impressive, but getting blown out at home to the Celtics, is a little disturbing. I think that just shows that Yao is really missed, especially when you have a team that is taking control of the paint as KG and the Celtics did.
Now everyone has field out their tournament bracket, just remember a few tips. There has not been all four #1 teams in the final four, for quite some time now. So it is pretty unlikely all four teams will make it there. That being said, there hasnt been a team higher than a #4 seed win the tournament in God knows how long. The last #4 team to even win it was Arizona back in the 90's. So all your sleeper picks from your 7 and 8 seeds, throw them out, it just wont happen. I have Kansas State winning against USC just because Beasley is better than Mayo. I do however want to see Tenn and Louisville play in the regional semi's because that would be a great matchup. From the looks of the bracket, I think Memphis has the easiest road to the final four. The only team that can match up with them is Pitt, and they arent even that good. Memphis shouldnt have any trouble with Texas after they take care of Pitt. Now my pick is just like everyone elses, but here we go...

Inevitable
Sunday was a great day of sports. I really didn't think the Rockets were going to demolish the Lakers like that. 22 straight, impressive.. good job. I hope you now take that even farther. Lakers, piss poor. Are you kidding me? You couldnt even make it a game? Kobe you selfish prick, you are absolutely awful. 11-33, 24 pts. I mean Gasol isnt in, as a leader and MVP caliber player you have to get your team involved, you have to step up and do something to at least make it a game. The Rockets went on a 12-2 run in the final 4 minutes. That is unacceptable. I really thought the Lakers were going to do something but after that abysmal performance I am rethinking that thought. I do not think Jordan ever, ever, ever had a bad game like. And if Jordan did have a bad game he did all the little things to even make it seem like he had a good game. Kobe, you tried to take over the game, missed shots, then cried when you thought it was a foul when it wasnt. McGrady took over the game in the 4th, what did you do? stand helplessly and bring your team down. You are pathetic. Why do you try to go in, take on 4 defenders then stand there yelling at the refs when you dont get a foul call. What happens? You miss, they rebound have a fast transition for a lay up and Phil calls a timeout. Kobe you are worthless and this is why you my friend will NEVER win a championship. Shaq was the reason you won 3, cherish your three, because you will never win another. Selfish bastard.
MH, I disagree with you about the AFC vs NFC. Lets look at this further. We will go division by division. First AFC North vs NFC North. Pitt, Ravens, Cinci, and Cleveland. Ok.. Pittsburgh is a dominant team in the AFC. Ravens are getting old, but still have the young talent to pull it off. Billick needs to go because I am a better coach than he is. Ravens only won a superbowl because of Marvin Lewis. Willis McGahee, you are another pathetic RB. If your going to talk trash fine, I dont care, but when you talk trash and dont back it up, that pisses me off. You said you are the best RB in the league, ha, ok... umm... yea no comment. Cleveland, you have all the momentum. You got snubbed last season, so prove what your worth this. Cinci, Im just waiting to hear one of your players got arrested again. NFC north: Minn, you already know how I feel about this one. Packers, all depends on Aaron Rodgers. Bears, umm you resigned Rex... yea you have no chance. Lions, maybe this time around, your fans wont walk out on you, but na... they probably will.
AFC wins that battle. AFC 1- 0 NFC
AFC East vs NFC East:
Patriots, Bills, Dophins, Jets. The cheaters will once again be in the playoffs and win their division. Jets probably had the best offseason so far from any of those teams. Quality pick ups, just your qb situation scares me. Then again, Giants won the superbowl, shouldnt you all be happy? I wont even talk about the dolphins. Bills have a promising young team, but your still stuck on losing 3 straight times in the superbowl. Have you ever recovered? NFC East is probably the most dominant and hardest division. Eagles have had a great offseason. Redskins, we still have to see what your going to do. You have the best talent on paper but can never produce anything on the field. Giants, I highly doubt you will get anywhere close to what you did this past season. You had your glory, boast on it for awhile. Cowboys, hire Pacman Jones... please hire Pacman. :)
AFC 1-1 NFC
AFC South vs NFC South
Colts, Jags, Titans, Texans. Colts, your always going to be good. You have the best qb in the league with your WR combo. Jags, you are getting more experienced. You need to get a true WR. Your losing games because you dont have the little things that make the difference. Titans and Texans wont win this division for awhile. NFC South consists of Tampa, Saints, Carolina and Atlanta. Tampa, I do not know how you always are in the playoff hunt but Gruden is a good coach. If you just stay healthy you will stay good. Saints have one of the best qb's in the league, even after his shoulder surgery. Reggie Bush you are a disappointment. Show me your worth all the hype. Maybe your love affair with Kim is getting to you, I dont know. Atlanta, try to recover from the tornado.
AFC 2-1 NFC
AFC West vs NFC West
Chargers, Broncos, Raiders, KC. Chargers, maybe if your qb wasnt such an asshole and didnt have a big head you could actually win a playoff game. Rivers, before you start talking shit, how about you prove your worth something. Oh wait, you already lost that battle. Eli, kudos to you. Broncos will always be good, but they just need more experience. And you need to find your number 1 RB, having 3 RB's that are all good but never are able to be the true #1 hurts your team. Raiders, have a great retirement Mr. Sapp. KC, um yea. Hey maybe you will be healthy and LJ will be LJ once again. Fix your line plain and simple. NFC has Seattle, Arizona, San Fran and the Rams. Seattle is in the easiest division but Arizona has a chance. Maybe if they just get a defense than this could be a battle for the top spot. San Fran looks promising with Frank Gore. They are rebuilding and I see them doing something this year. Seattle wont go anywhere. Im only picking the AFC on this one because the Chargers will beat anyone from the NFC West anytime. Therefore; AFC wins...
AFC 3-1 NFC
Now on Tiger.... I am absolutely speechless. Honestly, I picked you to win and well enough said. I really was worried after the cut that you were 7 shots back, but Ive learned never to doubt you. Then you go ahead and make your birdie on 18, 25 footer to win, when you didnt hit a putt all week that was over 18 feet. Amazing, extraordinary, unbelievable. Did you see Bryant's face after the putt? He just laughed, I would too. Its not surpising anymore, its unfathomable. Tiger you are truly the best out there and will be the best ever. I cant say your that yet because you havent caught Jack, but you will. I hope you win the grandslam and I hope you catch Sam Snead's record for 11 straight wins. Tiger there is nothing more to say. I am watching history right before my eyes and I love it. I am excited everytime you play and you make me want to watch you, want to play golf. You are the reason golf is where it is right now. You my friend are the most exciting player. You are the Michael Jordan of this era. Lebron, yes, you are unbelievable and you will be great. But until you win a title, Let Tiger show us and the rest of the world how the unthinkable is possible...

Down but not out...
Supposedly, the Skins are trying a new approach of not overpaying for high profile free agents. The truth is, we are the only team that has cap issues, even though the cap has been raised this year to it's highest it's been in recent years. So, even if we wanted some bigger name guys, we probably wouldn't be able to sign them and sign our draft picks... HOWEVER, the Skins should not let all of free agency go by without signing a few quality guys. The Skins have a few needs and positions where they need to add depth or need an upgrade, none of which have been addressed, and probably are too many in number to be addressed by only draft picks. It is my opinion that the Skins should have made a move for DeAngelo Hall. Especially if you could have gotten him for a 2nd round draft choice like the Raiders are doing. DeAngelo is arguably one of the best corners in the league and he's still relatively young. This would have been perfect for the Skins as they would gain a new starting corner, not have to gamble on a 2nd rounder and potentially have to pay money to a player that may turn out not to be of NFL caliber. This year's draft class is pretty shallow and weak in my opinion, except for DE's and LB's. So far during free agency, I have not been impressed, nor does the Skins' actions instill that much confidence. I hate when there are such big changes within an organization, because you never know what to expect the following season... are they going to start back up where they left off? Or are they going to have to start all over again? Just hire me as a GM and I'll make sure that the Skins have a competitive team every year...
Now on to the AFC... Furry I must say I disagree with you. Everyone preaches about how the AFC is so dominant, has so many great teams, and how much better the competition is than the NFC. Yes, I do admit there are some phenomenal teams in the AFC, however I also believe that many of the teams outside of the top 4 or 5 in the AFC have their records padded a bit. The AFC while having powerhouses in recent years of the Steelers, Colts, Patriots, and the Chargers, there are also piss-poor teams; Bills, Dolphins, Raiders, Jets, Chiefs, Texans, and the Broncos of late. I feel that these lower echelon teams provide an easier road to the playoffs and provide teams with better records with easy wins. Whereas in the NFC, even the worst team has a chance to beat one of the leaders in the NFC due to the physical playing style and tenacious, stingy defense that the NFC is known for. Making every game within the conference a potential must win game to make the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, the NFC has some teams... like the Seahawks, who have a pretty easy road to get to the playoffs each year, however, many of the teams need to fight and grind through every game they play, take the NFC East. Come on... 3 teams in the playoffs from 1 division?! That's a great indication of how tough the competition is and that there is not a large gap or fall-off in quality of teams after the top few teams, like there is in the AFC. With that out in the open... I agree with Furry, watch out for the Browns. They got robbed last year, and didn't get in the playoffs, but this year, they are definitely a playoff team. Let's just hope that Jamal can show us that last year was not a fluke, and Andersen can make the most out of his potentially one and only shot... dazzle us.
TIGER MOTHERFUCKING-GOLF-PHENOM WOODS. I won't lie, I was a little worried for you, after hearing that you were more than 7 shots behind... only to watch you step up your game and get into a tie for the lead... Honestly... I don't why I doubted you... but I did. I have nothing to say except, "I'm sorry I have ever doubted you. In restitution for my lack of faith, I will name either my first born or Furry's first born after you."
As for Singh... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?! You have not won anything... in who knows how long, and you blow a 7 shot lead? You may start wondering if golf has passed you by... or maybe, you have to stop being such a pussy and letting the pressure get to you. Yea, you're playing against Tiger Woods, but you too were once ranked #1 in the world. Sober up, hunker down, and start playing good golf... I mean... honestly now, 2 shots into water hazards? Put me in coach... I can do that.
Tons of sports to watch today... ACC tourny, Rockets vs. Lakers, Arnold Palmer invitational...
Furry, food for thought, UEFA Cup and Champions League semi's are starting soon... Barcelona behind Real Madrid in the Spanish Primera?!?! What was the point of getting Henry then?!?! Down but not out...

Long Road Ahead..
Kevin Jones is a solid RB, and yes I do think the Lions will miss his presence. I am not surprised about Brunell getting a team to sign him, I mean he does have a lot of experience, but hey at least its Brunell getting signed and not Todd Collins. I mean whats up with the Skins? They are known for their high spending free agency bids in which they are the team to talk about in April... All they have done is sign back Collins and Cartwright. Snyder and the new staff playing it slow? Waiting for something in the draft? Surprises will be seen.
Good old Hutchinson, of course I love that, thats why the Vikings have the best left side line in the league. In regards to the Texans, they can actually be something this season. I see them at 8-8. Improve more on the offensive side, they have a very talented WR in Johnson and as long as their running game can be persistent, then they will give teams trouble. Especially if Mario Williams is playing as he has been. Guess that draft pick is paying off? But the AFC is like the NBA Western Conference, so many dominant teams that can easily make it into the playoffs if they played in the shitty NFC. I dont think the Patriots will come out of the AFC next year, so honestly I think its wide open. Watch out for the Browns.
Steve Nash is one of the best point guards that has ever played the game. And the amazing thing is, he is still getting better. The past 4-5 years he has been avg a double double compared to early in his career. Maybe its the team, but still something to think about. Nash has said himself though that if he never wins a title, he doesnt call his career a disappointment or regret. I do however think that winning a title will put him up there with the greats. Do I think he will win a title anytime soon? No, but I do hope so. I hope the Suns get their act together and do something in the playoffs this season. However I think the Lakers look to dominant right now and with Bynum coming back its going to be pretty hard. But we have seen weirder things happen in the Western Conference so for all I know maybe the Lakers will go on a 10 game losing streak and be out. And no Nash is nothing like Stockton, hes Canadian for crying out loud...

Truth
Truth be told... Mike Sellers is the best FB in the league. Ok, not really, but Sellers is a monster (and underrated). Who remembers that skinny CB that got leveled when trying to tackle him? That was great. But in all honesty, I agree with Furry. Kreider is not the #1 FB in the league. However, it is very hard to rate FB's due to the nature of their position, there is no statistic that is recorded that can be used as a gauge for FB quality. That being said, Parker will definitely miss Faneca, just like how the Seahawks REALLY missed Hutch. He was the worth the money eh Furry? And does it really matter if your FB can block or not? Tavaris sucks... plain and simple. You need to find a quality QB in the draft and sign a good vet QB to help mentor both Tavaris and the rookie QB that you take. Did you see that Brunell signed a 2 year deal with the Saints?!?! I mean... WHAT THE FUCK. How old is this guy? He should just quit and collect his social security checks before social security no longer exists. Is he really the best QB out there to pick up for a back up? How shallow is this free agency that after the first 2-3 days all the quality guys are gone and people like Brunell are getting signed?! I'm a little surprised by the release of Kevin Jones. In my opinion, he's a better RB that Tatum Bell, but he has been injury prone. Chris Brown to the Texans? That's an intriguing thought. However shitty the Texans are and have been, I definitely feel that they've been make progress and the team is getting to a place where it could start to be competitive. So kudos to you.
Furry, after our discussion of Malone and Stockton... I started to think... what if Nash is the new Stockton? One of the best point guards of all time, who may never win a title? Is this wrong of me to think of Nash this way? Or maybe it's just because I have a soft spot for greats who never win a title/championship, just like how I didn't want Peyton to win the Superbowl because I wanted Peyton to take Dan Marino's place as one of the most prolific QBs but never to have won a Superbowl. Is it a valid categorization of Nash? No? Then, when or how will he win it? Am I way off or am I the Truth?

Scouts know nothing
First off, the scouts know absolutely nothing. I would love to argue with the dumbasses on ESPN about Tapeh being ranked 10th as best fullbacks in the league when all he really needs to do is get infront of a person and protect Tarvaris. You dont even need to worry about Chester or Adrian because they will get the job done no matter what. Here Tapeh, listen carefully just get in the way of someone ahead of you, look up, and watch Peterson and Taylor do the rest. You cannot catch Peterson if your behind him and you surely better not try to tackle him waste high because he will run over you. We have seen that time and time again. So once again I will reiterate he will break the single season record this upcoming season if there are no injuries. And to go back to Tapeh, the scouts have Dan Krieder as their #1 FB. I wont even comment on that. Sure he is good, but really, you think thats why Willy Parker is dominant? Because of Krieder? Faneca will be a huge loss for the iron steel.
Now to the useless commentators for ESPN. Keyshawn you know nothing. I hope you get a contract from the Dolphins so you can regain any credibility you never had. Mark Schlereth, I did have respect for you but once again you have shown me your lack of knowledge for anything being an ex pro athlete. You think Aaron Rodgers will do what? Lead the Packers back to the playoffs. Please excuse me for coughing my lung up. But hey.. your right its pretty damn easy to replace Farve. You know what I think EA Sports should just put Rodgers up on the cover of Madden... give him the crown now. Maybe Schlereth your just a little bitter that the other two Mikes are a little funnier and have a little more fan base than you. Its ok, stick with your Coors Light 6 pack of questions. Thats where you belong...

Who?!?!
Tapeh? Are you joking me? Here let me show you the scouting report on this guy:
Most of the action Tapeh saw this season was on special teams. He can be considered a core special teams player since he has value in both coverage and return phases. His role is primarily a blocking fullback on the offensive side especially in goal line and short-yardage situations. He has good pad level when he takes on a defender and knows angles and how to block, but doesnt do it with enough explosion. Tapeh is a good pass protector out of the backfield and he recognizes blitzes very well. He will lunge toward a defender at times, which will get him in trouble and jeopardize the outcome of the play. Tapeh is a solid fullback and can fit on most NFL teams, if they have the need for a second fullback.
That my friend is not someone who will be blocking for the single season rushing record. I think not. Pray the Vikes either draft a good one or get one via FA cause Tapeh does not instill confidence.
And it's not ironic, it's sad... I hate the Seahawks. But this gives me a rare chance to praise Snyder. This was done like a real business deal, what Snyder's expertise is. The Skins couldn't beat the Seahawks, so we go and take their staff to improve ourselves. Real business savy, I just hope it'll work.

Clutch
I think its time for you to take out the wax from your ears... the vikings picked up tapeh who is a solid FB who will block for peterson.. so wave on the white flags and watch out, because the single season record will be broken next year. In regards to the Skins, Rocky, needs to prove himself. He was actually a promsing lb, however that knee injury really played a role and time will only tell. I wont argue with you about the Bulls 4 top teams, because I totally agree. And yes, the Spurs wouldnt have won if they played the Bulls, but then again I dont think alot of teams would have won. You could have brought the 70 lakers, or the 80 Celtics/Pistons and they still probably wouldnt be able to beat the Bulls. The thing is, MJ could raise his level if and when he pleased. That is the extraordinary thing of it all, just like Tiger Woods, when he needs to make his 35 ft eagle to advance he will. No wonder he has a 90% win record when leading after 2 rounds, and an unfathomable record after leading by 3.
Yes the Vikings always get pushed out by the Skins, but then the skins always get pushed out by the Seahawks, a little ironic dont you think? All I can say is... I cant wait till football season. The summer is so boring after the NBA playoffs are done. MLB is worthless, I think I would rather be watching midgets on scooters.

Scoreboard
Pathetic?!? Are you joking me? Is this so called "pathetic" team of mine the team that just so happened to have beaten you (and the vikings) in a head to head AND edged you out of the playoffs? Ouch that must be rough being at the bottom of the food chain. And don't be too excited, as of now, you have no fullback to block for your precious Peterson. Now that we're done with the jabs... go after Brunell.. haha I'm kidding. Why not Leftwich? I do wish you good luck in looking for a QB. That is the one piece that the Vikings are missing, save maybe a TE. I know you love Kleinsasser, but let's get real, he's getting old and just not that great any more. Shiancoe has shown some promise... but he looks retarded... Other than that, the Vikes have no real weakness, but I still can't say that they are the team to beat. The Packers have a nasty young defense. Aaron Rodgers may not have experience but if their ground game can pick up where it was last year, then he may not have many opportunities to make mistakes. They should've gotten Moss for Favre.
As for my Skins, I do hope that we get a big receiver. Chad Johnson would be nice, but sadly, the Skins are the only team that have almost no cap space even at $116 mil. I'm looking at Limas Sweed in the draft, he looks promising and could fall to us. Maybe they'll even be able to find a diamond in the rough and pick up a useful DB in the 2nd round, but there are many needs as well as a few questions. How will Rocky be after the injury? How much does our aging DL have left in the tank. Can Washington stay healthy this year? Can Springs still be trusted to play man or will we have to bring the safety over the top? And they go on and on.. and on.. And now we have a new head coach and a new offensive coordinator. Just when Campbell gets use to Al Saunders' scheme, now he has a new one to learn... yay... But they say that Zorn is great with QB's. That's good to hear if he's your QB coach or offensive coordinator, but as a head coach? I'm not quite sure I'm that sold on Zorn. But I will say this, the tree that he comes from has churned out some decent head coaches around the league. I hope to be surprised...
Now on to Timmy... First of all, Timmy has done it for 10 years, Malone, did it for 20. Timmy's 22pts 12 rebounds for a career average is good, but not better than Malone's 25pts 11 rebounds career average, one could argue that they are comparable. But what you failed to mention is Malone's vs Timmy's
.742 FT% .683 FT%
.516 FG% .508 FG%
.274 3P% .194 3P%
Malone has also almost 4x as many steals, and 3x as many free throws attempted and made.
Even Barkley's 22pts 12 rebounds .735 FT% career averages are comparable and can bring him into the discussion.
But two of your main arguments still remain... Timmy won a title, Malone didn't, and Malone had Stockton. I really believe that if the Spurs played the Bulls during the MJ era during any of the years that they won the title, they would not have won. Plain and simple. MJ is the type of player that changed the whole atmosphere of the league because of his dominance. There is no doubt in my mind that had the Spurs in their dominance would lose to any of the Bulls championship teams, and there are a lot to choose from. Hell, you can even throw in any of the hall of fame Spurs players to the roster/bench and the '95-'96 Bulls would still win. Espn ranked the top championship teams and the Bulls have 4 teams that are ranked above the Spurs' highest ranked team. Don't tell me that the MJ era was not fair to other hall of fame players.
And so what if Malone had Stockton... Timmy had Michael Finley, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker, and Bruce Bowen in 2007. All of which are either phenomenal role players or semi-superstars. Not to mention Robert Horry and his clutch shots and dirty tactics... yea that's right, he's dirty for the body check to Nash. He has the same group in 2005. In 2003 he has Robinson, Stephen Jackson and great vets like Malik Rose and Steve Kerr or even Speedy Claxton.
Timmy doesn't even hold any franchise records, where as all the Utah records are held by Stockton or Malone. All I'm saying is that Timmy is not the undisputed best.
Regardless of championship, Montana is the better QB. And it is a travesty that Barry Sanders was wasted on the Lions. He could have been remembered as one of the greats, like Sayers or Brown, but instead he'll only be remembered by our generation and will eventually become an obscure reference that only the hardcore or old will know or remember. So to Barry Sanders, I raise my glass...

10 greatest ever...
According to http://www.espn.com MJ is the number 1 guard of all time. The list is as follows:
1. MJ
2. Kobe
3. Jerry West
4. George Gervin

Sorry MH, but Penny is an injury prone, not even close to being in the top 20 shooting guard of all time. I love Penny dont get me wrong, but really what did he do? He was just fashionable, bout it. Good player, no where close to the potential he should have been.
Tim Duncan, your arguing about Timmy? Are you kidding me. And then you have the audacity to bring Karl the choke Malone into the conversation. Please, Malone never won a title, why? because he never could. Malone would be nothing without Stockton. Who does Duncan have? Tony Parker? What is he, #1000 in best guard ever? The reason Duncan is so dominant is because he had a great teacher, David Robinson. Robinson taught Duncan the ropes, Duncan is a fundamental solid player. Yes, he may not be the most fancy fun player to watch, but he the most dominant in his position. Need I say 4 titles, 22pts 12 rebounds a game for a career avg? Malone did avg more points, but no where close to the amount of rebounds. Then again who cares, the point is he NEVER won a title. Doesnt that say anything? We measure a person on what they accomplished right? If we didnt we would be saying Dan Marino is the best qb ever. But the honest truth is he is no where close. Once again amazing qb but no ring. Barry Sanders, amazing running back, no ring. Therefore you cant even put these players in the top 3 or anything of that sort. Ill leave you with this, go back re read your sports history and then come talk to me when your able to argue something legitimate. And with that, it goes Duncan, Malone, Barkley as the top 3 ever. Rodman is no where in the conversation, Kevin Mchale is better than Rodman. And you cannot argue that.. look at the facts.
In terms of the Vikings free agency outlook, they didnt do awful. They signed Bernard Berrian, their number 1 WR, a true #2. Too bad they dont have a qb to do anything. All I want is Jackson to throw a 10 yd pass, please Tarvaris, thats all you need to do, be able to throw 10 yards consistently. No w0nder you went to a D II school.. I shouldnt have had expectations. Madieu Williams might be a little overrated in my standards but we will see how he holds up. I definitely dont think he is worth the amount of money the Vikings dished out for him but who knows. If he does his job, then their DB core is pretty solid with Sharper, and Williams in the backfield. They have a top 10 run defense, and as long as Peterson and Taylor do their running attack, they should be ok. It all depends on Tarvaris making good plays and being in character. I honestly want another qb, any qb... but we will see what happens. They also picked up Thomas Tapeh who is a solid fb and will do a good job infill of Kleinsasser. Ziggy Wilf should just hire me as their GM. We will see how draft day goes, they still need a qb, de, wr but the team looks promising. They are young and in my opinion are the team to beat in the NFC north. Not the packers, the packers did well but Aaron Rodgers is not going to get the job done. At least not in the first year, sorry Green Bay, its just not going to happen. A 9-7 record will be a promising year. I wish you the best.
Now for the pathetic Skins, yes Snyder is an idiot. You should pick up Deangelo Hall and if you do than you are talking. You still need a true #1 and I hope you all pick up Chad Johnson. The Bengals keep saying they wont trade him, but they are the Bengals. We will have another DWI or arrest from a player and once again the Bengals will do jack shit about it. What a tragedy to have 2 of the best WR's and qb in the league and you cant do anything. Ill say this, Rudy Johnson wont do anything w/ Cinci. He will be a mediocre rb that is by best your #2 fantasy pick and will just barely get the job done. The skins will do well, they need a better defense pick up, and hopefully the draft will get that for them. Carolos Rogers is awful. Just plain awful, cut him.
We all know I am a big golf fan and I completely agree with MH. John Daly you are a pathetic drunk that should be stripped of your tour card. How can you be so naive and ignorant. You really think people feel sorry for you. I dont give a damn if you are an alcoholic or you had a bad child hood. Grow the fuck up. You cant tell me you couldnt change, oh it was so hard, I lived in the worst conditions, my parents never were there. So what you want a cookie? You want me to feel sorry for you for making millions of dollars and blowing it all away. Your worse than Mike Tyson losing 60 mil in a year. Then you think its cute to have the Bucs coach as your caddie at the PODS championship. Why dont you just do us all a favor and play in the Nationwide tour, or better yet go back to your beer drinking I can drive the ball 400 yards and win $100k tour. All you are is a waste of talent and money. You have been given so many opportunities to change, and yet you fail to do anything about it. Im speechless... but hey your right John, I thought the Pro Am was in the afternoon too...

Love - Hate Relationship
First for the love:
Montana is the greatest QB of the modern era. That being said, there are others that I don't compare Montana to, due to how football has changed over time. Because of that, Sammy Baugh drops out of consideration, but if I had to choose between the two, it'd have to go to Sammy Baugh. I mean honestly, a QB that played on both sides of the ball, and wasn't just good but was great on both sides of the ball.
Tigers Woods is amazing. I agree with Furry that Woods will probably win in the next tourny and will probably have the grand slam this year.
Of course MJ is the best guard ever, he's the best to have played the game. Period. However, what did bother me a little bit is that I feel that if you can include people in the top 5 who have not won championships, Penny Hardaway should definitely garner some attention. He was NASTY.
Now for the haterade:
Georgetown is not a dark horse... a dark horse would be someone that will not and does not deserve to be a 8 seed or better. Someone like Indiana or Gonzaga.
Timmay?!?! Are you fucking joking me?! He is not the best power forward of all time. Yea, yea, I know he's won titles... but let me ask you this... did he have to face MJ in his prime? No. Malone was nasty, but he was just unfortunate to have played during the MJ era. And what about Shawn Kemp... or dare I even say Dennis Rodman? If I were to pick which power forward I wanted in their prime, Timmy would probably make top 10 but not crack my top 3 or perhaps even my top 5.
As a Redskins fan, I must say, I am a little disappointed by what has happened in free agency thus far. I understand that the Skins have been pegged with a bad image of spending too much in free agency.. but seriously, Snyder needs to figure his shit out. When he isn't suppose to spend money, he spends tons of it.. most of which end up being a waste... can we say Brandon Lloyd?! Not to say that we need to spend money right now, but it wouldn't have hurt to try to get some people like Fanaca or Samuels. Actually, i think that the Skins should make a quiet go for DeAngelo Hall from the Falcons. We are in desperate need of a shut down corner.. let's me honest, Springs is on the down side of his career, and Rogers has not shown that he can be anything more than a solid #2 corner. All i'm saying is, you don't have to go on a shopping spree, but atleast window shop. Furry, what are your thoughts on FA in general and your team?
I end on this note, John Daly, though I find your antics hilarious... you are a fucking idiot. How many people have the chance to play in the PGA? Let alone have sponsors exemptions to major tournys and not have their PGA tour card? Simply put, you're a fuck up. You're throwing away, potentially hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars away cause you want to get boozed up. Here's my advice for you, get the fuck out of frat-boy-college phase and start getting serious about golf. You're living a version of the American dream and you're shitting all over it. Grow the fuck up.

Love me or Hate me
Ill make it very simple for all you non sports fans out there. The patriots are good...they will never be great. This cheating scandal just puts it over the top. I am in favor of all the restrictions and penalties Goodell is doing. Why not? There should be no cheating in the NFL. America's new past time. Brady is not even in the top 5 qb's of all time. That being said, kudos to the Giants. Eli, you got a ring, congrats, you will never get one again. I still believe that Joe Montana is the top qb ever, period.
Dark horse huh? Fine, Georgetown will go to the final four and if they play up to their potential and Hibbert doesn't get in foul trouble, they will win the tourney. How about that for a prediction?
SportsCenter had a poll of who is the best shooting guard ever. That is a no brainer, MJ, MJ, MJ. Did I say MJ already? How about a harder poll such as who is the best power forward of all time? How about Tim Duncan, dont worry Ill let you savor the moment, yes Timmy.
I would write you all more but I am masking in my own hangover wanting to shoot someone...
First things first...
Let's have this out in the open so that no one blames us for their loss of money... my associate is not the greatest at making picks... that's excluding the fact that NBA basketball is probably one of the hardest sports to bet on... especially when dealing with a spread.
Now that that's out in the open... Furry, seriously... "UNC will win it all, look I said it here first... UNC will win it all."??? How is it that you said it here first when it's pretty much the consensus that UNC has one of the best chances, not to mention team, to win the tournament... It's not surprising to say that the #1 ranked team will win the tourny... pick a dark horse... like UMBC. Haha.
However, I must agree, the Terps are utterly trash. This is a team who has a relatively large amount of talent, and who has the ability to beat almost any team, as they have shown this year by beating UNC. But, they are also a team that can lose to anyone, and I mean anyone. This is probably a result of coaching. The coach needs to teach mental fortitude as well as consistency to avoid collapses. And Gary Williams... how did you let all these amazing players from this area get away from you?!?! Cause you want 4 year players?! You're lucky that the NBA changed their rules to require players to atleast go to 1 year of school. Stop fucking around and recruit the best players that you can. Period.
I can't wait to hear what information Walsh has regarding the Patriots. People argue that their "dynasty" is not tainted by this. But I disagree, the fact is that the coach cheated and the organization cheated. Especially because Belichick has since admitted that he's been conducting such tapings since he took over the team in 2000. I'm not sure about you, but I believe that changes the outcome of the game, making the patriots cheaters. For them to be compared to some of the best teams in history is just insulting to teams like the old 49ers and steelers teams. It just seems to me that Belichick is grimey and that the punishment imposed has not been enough. They cheat and yet they still have a top 15 pick?! I mean... what the fuck.
"The happier the story, the darker the truth."
... just the beginning...

And so it begins...
Nothing really new in the sports world, except Gonzaga getting beat by lonely San Diego. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. Now you will have 3 WCC teams get into the tournament which wont mean anything because they wont go anywhere. UNC will win it all, look I said it here first... UNC will win it all. I dont even want to talk about pathetic Maryland, because Im from Maryland but hey get this.. when UMBC, yes the DAWGS, win on Saturday to make it to the tournament, Go Dawgs, Fuck the Terps. By the way, Tiger will once again win this weekend at Bay Hill and be one step closer to tying 11 straight victories. Wade out for the season, pretty smart by the Heat if you ask me. Now they can lose out and get the next KG, Mr. Beasley from Kansas State. Rebuilding might actually work. Marion, Wade, Beasley, looks dominant already... and now my NBA picks for the night:
Bucks covering the spread against Wizards
Seattle covering against Pacers
Portland covering against Minn
Utah covering against Heat
Lakers covering against Toronto
In terms of Governor Spitzer.. hey at least democrats cheat on their wives with women.. republicans as we know cheat on their wives w/ men.. one up for the donkeys
